Should I write a novel?

I'm thinking about it. Not that I have time.

  3. Do it, man, do it!

I just hit 62, 000 words on my novel, only got about 30,000 to go!

    It's rough but worth it.

  7. Novels are addictive. I started with a novella of 100 pages, saying to myself that I could give up any time, and now I'm on the fourth volume of a 2000 page epic. So beware.

The amount of sheer labour involved in writing novels is fairly staggering, but luckily, like childbirth, you forget all about the pain when you've finished. And there really is nothing like typing THE END at The End.

What would you write about? Its way too hard, I'd give up and go home if I were you.

as someone whose 24-year-old roommate just sold his novel to Random House for $400,000 (he didn't leave the house for a year, almost literally, but wow was it worth it) I say yes, yes, yes. Write it.

Matt, I ended up staying in the Bahamas longer than I expected, so I am that person who missed Standards of Decency. Many apologies, my Emercamp friend.
