Anyhow, that's for the archives. Now... what's next?
Matt -- I'm curious: how much of this coverage do you think is attributable to your blogging presence? Do you think your blog has any effect at all, or does it add to the likelihood of attention being paid? Obviously, some of these are by other bloggers -- but, say, the NY Times. What do you think?
ReplyDeletePerhaps my merits as a writer have something to do with it?
ReplyDeleteOr at least some part of it?
One might hope?
I think there are lots of factors in one's press coverage.
Matt -- I didn't mean the quality of the reviews -- of course that is completely your merit as a writer, and well-deserved. What I was asking was whether the blog provides a foot in the door as far as getting critics to attend your show, given the intense competition for coverage. I'm asking a really practical question about whether there are real-life benefits to blogging.

ReplyDeleteYo. Why all the deleting?
ReplyDeleteNot my usual practice. But I don't like to comment on the reviews very much.
ReplyDeleteOk.
ReplyDeleteI have already read and memorized what you and David said though.
I'm going to write a play about it.
I hope play gets tons of press.
ReplyDeleteOh, it will. It will. You watch.
