I happen to be living in the midwest. There was two inches of snow on my driveway this morning and I'm wearing mittens because the windows at the publication I write for are a bit drafty. It's -8, but -17 with windchill. Of course, most cities in Iowa don't have buildings half as tall as the ones in Manhattan, losing a windtunnel effect.
