I'm pretty sure that the Donnie Darko set didn't expect Richard Kelly's next movie to star The Rock. The cast, the story, the graphic novels (some of which may be apocryphal) all add up to a big question mark. Post apocalypic pro wrestler runs screaming through time in a bunny suit, chased by a vampire? Something like that? But, you know, backwards?
Either Richard Kelly is a visionary genius who can see the untapped, avant-garde potential of Buffy, The Rock, Miranda Richardson and Mandy Moore; or he's let the DVD sales of the Donnie Darko "Director's Cut" drive him out of his ever-living mind.
