I found the CD that will get "The Man Who Caught Death in a Bag" written.
Yes, I said CD. I am 1) the last man on earth without an iPod and 2) thrilled.
As for "The Shadow," that doesn't need a CD. That needs a bottle of six-dollar, gut rotting red and an evening to myself. I'll supply the noise.
(My friend Matt Trumbull often says: "Sometimes, when I'm at work, I hear someone crying. And I just want him to shut up. I want him to stop crying. To just shut up. He's so loud. And then I realize...it's me.")
not the last man on earth without one....
ReplyDeleteAnd that CD is...?

Oh I love and miss the Trum. Hey, Matt, does your "Death" story have anything to do with The Pardoner's Tale from The Canterbury Tales? (I'm teaching Chaucer right now.) Or is there another literary reference that I'm not catching? Is it based on anything?
ReplyDeleteRegardless, great fucking title.

"Songs for Silverman" Ben Folds. It's the Elton John for our generation.
ReplyDeleteRuss! Hey!
Definitely, the Pardoner's Tale has some fault for this one. But maybe moreso The Sandman.
