Daniel Kitson

Not so much blogging this week, folks. Busy bee, I am.

Pam took me to see The Interminable Suicide of Gregory Church at St. Ann's Warehouse. Absolutely terrific piece of work. Loved how it played with the notion of fiction, and how the layers of the play sort of grew on me as I sat with it.

It looks like it closes shortly, but if you can get in, I'd heartily recommend it. Kitson is really someone to keep an eye on.

  1. You lucky stiff. My schedule didn't permit me to come up for this show, otherwise I would likely have seen it twice.

I saw Kitson at the Edinburgh Fringe, doing his new show "It's Always Right Now, Until It's Later". By the end, the woman in front of me was weeping uncontrollably, and the man next to me was simultaneously giggling at inappropriate moments, and I completely understood both reactions. Left the theater filled both with ecstatic joy and the notion that if anybody spoke to me, I would be broken for a week. Absolutely the finest work of anything I've ever seen live.

Anyway. If he tours that, go. Go, go, go.
