When I wrote about it on my blog, some commenter told me that I was missing the point and that theatres and artists should just be happy that somebody might attend a reading because of they read in the NYT that it might afford them bragging rights.
I'll say! A lot of the actors I see at staged readings are ones I've already seen on stage! Hell, some of them are friends of mine! I really need to start attending the ones with movie stars!
Oh, and you might see somebody famous at one too!
