Thanks, Broadway audiences and even some theater critics of New York, for discouraging risk and tossing off exciting new theater on our stages. I hope that movie stars doing old fashioned plays and more movies turned into musicals is what you wanted, because that's what you're going to get.

- Matthew Freeman is a Brooklyn based playwright with a BFA from Emerson College. He served as Assistant Producer and Senior Writer for the live webcast from Times Square on New Year's Eve 2010-2012.
