Matt -- I'm curious: how much of this coverage do you think is attributable to your blogging presence? Do you think your blog has any effect at all, or does it add to the likelihood of attention being paid? Obviously, some of these are by other bloggers -- but, say, the NY Times. What do you think?
Perhaps my merits as a writer have something to do with it?
Or at least some part of it?
One might hope?
I think there are lots of factors in one's press coverage.
Matt -- I didn't mean the quality of the reviews -- of course that is completely your merit as a writer, and well-deserved. What I was asking was whether the blog provides a foot in the door as far as getting critics to attend your show, given the intense competition for coverage. I'm asking a really practical question about whether there are real-life benefits to blogging.
