Matthew Freeman is a Brooklyn based playwright with a BFA from Emerson College. He served as Assistant Producer and Senior Writer for the live webcast from Times Square on New Year's Eve 2010-2012. This month's Zoetrope: All Story has a very interesting essay that probes into some of the problems of TAL and Ira Glass's approach. To call TAL journalism is only slightly less silly than calling Daisey a journalist.
