First round of great press for Why We Left Brooklyn

Why We Left Brooklyn is now up and running in earnest. We've had some fantastic audiences (thanks to all those who have already made the trek to 4th Street!); and the cast is phenomenal. Tickets can be purchased here.

I wanted to share a few pieces of press that have appeared since we opened. More reviews will be coming soon!

First up, here's a nice piece on the TDF Stages online magazine by Lauren Hedli about our production.

Second, here's an interview with me and Kyle Ancowitz in The Mantle (with Gary Winter.)

And a couple of early, great reviews:

"A play that is both highly contemporary and rooted in the classic American tradition ...with its exceptionally literate dialogue, its seriocomic treatment of an essentially sad situation, and, yes, that three-act setup, it feels like the 21st-century version of a comedy by Philip Barry or S. N. Behrman. Like them, Freeman finds meaning in contemporary manners and mores..." - David Barbour, Lighting & Sound America

"A sweet and funny New York story." - Molly Marinik, Theater Is Easy
