For the sake of argument

A pro Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, outside-the-theater-world rave from geek central.

So hard to take it seriously when he calls the man J. Johan Jameson, rave aside. That just makes us geeks look silly. Ignoring the other typos, there's also the plain factual errors, like suggesting the music has been rewritten constantly (didn't Bono just see the show for the first time a few days ago?) or that the script is under heavy revisions -- as far as I know, these most recent previews have been tech and safety related.

I'm also fascinated by the way this writer is convinced that this is necessary viewing because Spiderman lands in the aisle near him. If you want actors swarming you, go see some off-off-Broadway stuff, or if you want it to be on Broadway, you couldn't get any closer than when they were putting audiences on stage (Inherit the Wind, Xanadu, Spring Awakening).

::sigh:: This is why I still believe in critics.
