I demand

The immediate return of Zay Amsbury to his blogging post.

...and air conditioning without guilt or shame.

He will be in NYC within the week. You can tell him personally.

And you know, don't joke about air conditioning. Here at CalArts where I'm teaching, the 114 degree weather killed the air conditioners.

In our apartment dorms, the thing leaked into a bucket we had to dump every few hours.

And the main blackbox space flooded. The water warped a quarter of the floor. It's like surfing, walking through that space.

And yes: I'm in New York on Tuesday, for God's sake. Doesn't seem real yet.
