Matthew Freeman is a Brooklyn based playwright with a BFA from Emerson College. Phantom of the Opera wins the Race

Well, as case-in-point about how relevant Broadway is to the theatrical world at large, I would like to 1. mention that Phantom of the Opera is now the longest-ever running Broadway Musical 2. ask if anyone who reads this blog has thought much about Phantom since 1989?
