What's Missing From This Picture?

The Arts. MIA.

You know what's interesting? Check out Huckabee, of all people, on Education.

Only one to say Arts. Shame that. His school choice stuff is awful and he doesn't believe in evolution, so I sort of skipped even looking at his education statement.

You know what, though? I'm kind of glad that the arts aren't listed. Politicians inevitably get the whole thing screwed up if they mention it in a speech. Maybe we should stay under the radar. We should be looking at the candidate's spouses -- that's where it could be important. Joan Mondale, for instance, was known as "Joan of Arts" during the Carter administration. And of course Jackie Kennedy.
