Unicorn vs. Narwhal

With Magical Battle Horns!

Phantasmaphile and Mr. Freeman presented me with gifts last night at Metrocafe, where they treated me to a "flight" sampling of French white wine.  Phantasmaphile presented me with the above...we actually had a unicorn vs. narwhal Gchat debate before she discovered this item in a store.  Mr. Freeman presented a gift, on behalf of himself and David D., that also went straight to my heart--a renewal of my Wildlife Conservation Society membership, allowing me +1 free admission to The Bronx, Queens, Central Park, and Prospect Park zoos, and the New York Aquarium.

Let it be known that this blog is run by thoughtful and treasurable fellows who made my birthday fantastic. My army of narwhals is at their command.  Whales of danger--Salute!

MT,

Thanks for mentioning the WCS membership and its perks - that's actually a great deal and will help Berit and I see some things we wanted to see this Summer much more affordably, while helping a good cause.

Happy birthday,

IWH

Ian,

The WCS membership is indeed a great deal. It pays itself off very easily. In addition to bypassing regular admission (not to mention the ticket line), you can also get in for free to the special exhibits at the Bronx zoo that they always charge a few dollars extra for--the monorail, the Congo Forest with the gorillas, the Butterfly Garden, etc. And there are member-only evenings sometimes.

And a pretty magazine.

I think the caption for that picture should be:

"Matthew Trumbull works at home. On the Internets."
