NOWADAYS at the Metropolitan Playhouse

Trumbull, here, sticking up Freeman's blog again and taking my share of riches.  Just wanted to say that I'm in this play over at the Metropolitan Playhouse in the East Village, called NOWADAYS.  Written by George Middleton in 1913, it is a comedy that, beyond its suffragist sentiments that seemed quite shocking 7 years before women got the vote, examines the rigidity of social expectations, parental support, and the power of the lender over the borrower.  It's very funny and tender.  I play a dapper cad.  Such a stretch.  Whew.

There are two more preview shows, tonight and Friday night at 8 pm.  Official opening is Saturday at 8.

Oh, and if you DVR the VP debate tonight and join us for theatrical delights, we'll show our appreciation with a 2-for-1 deal at the box office.

If you haven't been to the Metropolitan Playhouse, it's really quite a lovely and intimate theatre.  Anywhere you sit, you will practically be in the living room with us.  The cast is excellent...Freemanphiles will recognize Frank Anderson (pictured above) from "The Most Wonderful Love".

Well, to be fair, "Dapper" should take all your powers and all your skills.
